The London based artist on how personal and political history, music and religion inspire his work, including his recent commission 21 Stones for the British Museum.

Idris Khan is a contemporary artist whose abstract works are inspired by a range of cultural sources including literature, history, art, music and religion. He features in several private collections and museums around the world, such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA), the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Saatchi Collection and the British Museum. He is represented by Galerie Isa in India and will be showing at India Art Fair for the first time in 2019.
