In celebrating ten years since the founding of the gallery, Akara Art is showing an exciting line up of works by the incredible Indian modernist, Amrita Sher-Gil. Titled Perhaps It Will Fly Away If I Get Up, the show will feature rare watercolors, drawings and a self-portrait in oil –  all exhibited for the very first time in Mumbai. Visitors can also expect to find a documentary film, Amrita Sher-Gil: A Family Album, that traces the life and works of the artist through the perspective of her niece Navina Sundaram.
