Husain in New York

New York based arts patron Kent Charugundla will present the journey of building a private collection of works by M.F. Husain, moderated by Kishore Singh, art critic and Head of Exhibitions & Publications at DAG Modern.

Kent Charugundla and his wife Marguerite are New York based Indian art collectors. They have supported and lent their artworks to many museums in USA over the years, including Asia Society:  Art and the Nation and The Progressive Revolution, Guggenheim Museum: Painting as Process: Painting as Life, The MoMA, Indian Now, PEM: Midnight to the Boom, Queens Museum: After Midnight. Charugundla has also established educational partnerships with universities across the US, including Wesleyan WV.

Kishore Singh is a Delhi based writer, columnist and art critic. He is Head of Exhibitions & Publications at DAG (formerly Delhi Art Gallery), responsible for its curatorial and research programmes on 20th century art and artists. With books on subjects as diverse as travel, history, business, culture and art, he is also the author of M.F. Husain: The Journey of a Legend
