Presenting the Open Call for GodeBLR! – A Public Art project and mural festival in Bengaluru. GodeBLR is an opportunity for artists in the city and outside to create important, beautiful art on the walls of the city.
Eligibility
Artists and muralists from Bengaluru, elsewhere in India or from other parts of the world, who can design and paint a wall (approx 300-700 sq.ft) in Bengaluru city. We welcome individuals and groups.
Theme
We are looking for artwork that is conceptually strong and reflects anything from Bengaluru’s history to culture, food, flora and fauna, festivals, people, communities, organisations and to everyday emotions and beauty. The medium will be walls in high traffic locations and public spaces, with also the possibility of a few installations at specific venues.
Selection Process
Shortlisted artists will be required to be present in Bengaluru city to work on their art during the designated time period. Artists from outside Bengaluru intending
to participate will be required to partner and/or collaborate with a Bengalur-based community, organisation or individual in order to align with the theme.
Deliverables
• A short CV/profile about yourself or your organisation
• List of previous projects with images, links, social media handle
• A concept note / supporting sketches for the proposed artwork (250 words)
• For artists outside of Bengaluru, please mention the connection that your proposed artwork has with the city and details about the community, organisation or individual that you intend to work with.
