Gallery Ragini presents a show of contemporary folk art from India titled Conversations in My Own Language.
The practices involved in creating the works in the show are rooted in longstanding traditions, drawing from religion and folklore, but responding to the artist’s current environments and their contemporary observations. The works will range from Gond and Madhubani art to kalamkari by artists including Dhavat Singh, A Kumar Jha, Anil Khakhoriya, Manish Soni, M Vishwanath Reddy, S. Srinivas Rao, Prakash Chandra and P Swamy.
