Crafts Council UK presents Cotton: Labor, Land and Body, a group show featuring works by artists Raisa Kabir, Brigid McLeer, Bharti Parmar and Reetu Sattar. The show brings together selected works from these four South-Asian artists to explore how the production and trade of cotton shaped the relationship between Britain and South Asia, and the ways in which these legacies still continue to impact the lives of workers today. The exhibition offers a chance to reconsider the history associated with the cotton trade and makes a powerful commentary on material culture and the devastating effects of fast fashion.
