Anant Art Gallery and Apparao Galleries are delighted to present Deserted Scapes, a solo exhibition of works by Bhartti Verma.
Verma’s paintings have an immersive quality to them that serenade the viewer into her world. Suffused with mystery, her interiors show signs of habitation and abandonment at the same time, while giving us glimpse of the outside world, which seems equally distant and deserted.
Known for her hyper realistic paintings, Bhartti locates us within these isolated interiors where time seems to stand still, as we are surrounded with clues to its past.
