In this workshop led by India Art Fair Artist in Residence, Mayuri Chari, we pose the question, ‘Does everything belong to me?’ to challenge normative attitudes towards our cultural heritage and recognise all who might be erased in everyday life. Focusing particularly on the life and labour of women, this workshop will help you reflect on the ‘unseen yet present’ work, personalities and philosophies of women who have shaped and continue to shape our culture.

India Art Fair’s 2024 Workshop series, titled Rediscovery, are curated by the arts education organisation LAND (Learning through Arts, Narrative and Discourse) and supported by Faber-Castell. Open to all and designed for one-on-one engagement through experience sheets, also available in Braille, the sessions are led by various artists and educators in English, with a select number in Hindi and Indian Sign Language.
