Gallery Art Exposure presents Lalu Prasad Shaw’s Early and Recent Works, a retrospective exhibition of the artist’s works. The exhibit, curated by Ina Puri, features both the early and recent works of the master printmaker and
artist in graphics, crayon, and tempera. With a clear Indian focus, Shaw’s works portray a variety of people occupied in various pursuits, including romantic dalliances, the Babu’s regular forays to the market to buy fish and vegetables or the Bibi, depicted reading or gazing into space, a caged bird by her side. One sees the gentle satirical approach of the artist towards life and its diversity through his works.
