Experimenter presents Exhale, British- Sri Lankan artist Christopher Kulendran Thomas’ first solo in India at Experimenter–Colaba. Presenting a series of new paintings Kulendran Thomas explores his deeply conceptual ideas at the core of his painting practice.The works on view rooted in material processes and a dynamic application of paint touch upon a range of his interests including reinterpreting modern history of art, retelling of lived and narrated memories and thoughts on identity through a diasporic reference to Sri Lanka’s civil war and its impact, by employing a gamut of visual and other positions that inform his wider work and practice.
