Curated by Sreyansi Singh, this exhibition explores resistance through what the body wears—memories, histories of forgotten gods, and myths of the land—mapping indigenous fashion identities in India as living archives of their ancestors. These contemporary practices of indigenous clothes-making embody political power and social collectivism, harnessing generational knowledge and resilience to drive revivalism and innovation. Far from static, this archive breathes, sings, and resists. Sreyansi Singh, a fashion curator and researcher, bridges pedagogy and the business of fashion, uncovering emerging practices and narrating transcultural perspectives through clothing.
The exhibition is on view at Young Collectors Hub, Triveni Kala Sangam, 205 Tansen Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi, from February 2 to 9.
