Nature Morte is pleased to present an exhibition of works spanning 40 years by the artist Rm. Palaniappan, showing the artist’s development from printmaking to painting.
Palaniappan’s prints from the 1980s are characterised by a plethora of information combining notations, marks, cyphers, and signs into densely layered graphic ensembles with hand colouring. He transitioned to drawings in the late 1980s, and his acrylic paintings from 2019 and 2020 concentrate on line as a visual tool describing the trajectories a moving object makes as it travels through space and time.
