Gallery 1000A presents Hymns for the Displaced, a collation of visual hymns in praise of the displaced, and a solace to their angst. Human Displacement can be seen as a throbbing torment of the modern world. Displacement also has the silent connotation of uprooting of a community/person/a class of people due to certain external pressures. The exhibition brings together works from several contemporary artists that speak to the theme and to each other to create a dialogue, one that recognizes migration and displacement as worthy causes that require our attention.
