The biggest canvas in New Delhi, the India Art Facade is transformed into a constellation of colourful pixels by the trailblazing artist duo, Thukral & Tagra. The project is a continuation of their Arboretum series, in which the artists reimagine the natural world through conventions of digital art-making like pixelation and glitches, and in turn, think of pixels as organic entities, such as seedlings. The facade, printed on flex material, will be repurposed and transformed into an edition of collectible bags by the dalit run Chamar Studio after the de-installation of fair. The collaboration is an expression of India Art Fair’s commitment to meaningful acts of sustainability and engaging in a community-oriented dialogue between art and design.
