Arthshila Santiniketan announces Liberating the Mundane, an exhibition by MAD(E) IN MUMBAI. This Exhibition presents an inquiry of a decade in transforming the mundane places outdoors into sensitive and meaningful public spaces.
In between the comfort of our homes and large infrastructural projects, lies this liminal and vulnerable space of our city that we inhabit every day. These Spaces are never drawn, documented or designed. Traditionally, they do not form the domain of architects and urban designers. The artists, with their manifestos engage with civic bodies of various cities in reshaping the architecture of the everyday realm.
