Muzzumil Ruheel presents Meeting Point, a project that aims to give audiences access to a world which cannot be seen ordinarily through augmented reality technology. The project invites his viewers to step into an eerie landscape, where they can interact with all that silently inhabits this space, witness ghost words and watch them inaudibly present around us.
Muzzumil Ruheel (b. 1985) is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Beacon House National University (BNU) 2009 and has been part of the faculty at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (Karachi), the School of Visual Arts, Beacon House National University (Lahore) and the Visual Studies Department at the Karachi University. His solo shows include Baato Se Baat Nikalti Hai at TARQ, Mumbai (2019); Point of no return at Rohtas Gallery in Lahore (2019), In between the lines at Art Dubai (2019); Hearsay at Canvas Gallery in Karachi (2017); and Lost in his own garden at Grosvenor Gallery in London (2017) among many others. He has also participated in group shows like Tapestry of Fading Gardens at 1×1 Gallery in Dubai (2020); Between the Sun and the Moon at Lahore Biennale (2020); at India Art Fair in New Delhi (2020); among many others. He was also a part of the Abhisaran Residency, India, a collateral event of the Kochi Biennale 2014. The artist currently lives and works in Karachi.
