Gallerie Nvya presents Permanent Conference showcasing the works of 15 Indian and international contemporary artists including Vivan Sundaram, Viswanathan, Tahsin Akhtar, Thasil Suhara Backer, Rat Bedlington, Lakshya Bhargava, Abraham George, Nabanita Guha, Joyce Ho, Kapil Jangid, Khandakar Ohida, Abin Sreedharan K P, Jyothidas K V, Ruth Ju-Shih Li and Astha Patel.
The exhibition explores overlaps, interactions, and conjunctions between anatomies of man, machine, and nature. The classifications, as ingrained, show malleability in entities. Nuclei are likened to a motherboard, the heart as an engine, casing much like the cellular membrane, with language traveling as a script through systemically wired veins, carrying messages to a consciousness. The conscious having established knowledge showcases situations of reflexive reciprocation. A body, a sight, a trigger, a target. A weapon’s muzzle, an opening to let out a spearing utterance, much like the mouth of man or the Rosette Pitcher — a scream.
