Æquō presents ‘Rub In’ – a solo exhibition, featuring Sudheer Rajbhar’s collection for the gallery created with his creative associate, Camille Bastien. A series of dramatic armchairs, each piece is built on a shared metal framework and dressed in a distinct style, drawing inspiration from fashion with features like oversized stitching, extravagant pockets, and belts. Developed as if on a mannequin, these designs underwent numerous iterations of layering, removing, and reworking until the final version was perfected. Like grand costumes, these imposing creations showcase the diverse techniques developed by Chamar and the colour palettes refined over the past nine years.
