Anupa Mehta Contemporary Art presents Sans Sitters by Ravi Joshi.
Of these new works, the artist writes: “An ardent tendency to create something recognisable from the abstract is a human preoccupation. These deliberations can be noticed in the methods of early humans who may have painted on the rock facades while being informed by the shadows on uneven rock surfaces. My new series titled – Sans Sitters – explores the innominate tendencies while painting portraits in a manner where each wash of paint can be forgotten and often revived.“
