Serendipity Arts Foundation presents Open Studio which brings together a series of works by the residents of the 2023 Serendipity Arts Residency who have created a body of artworks ranging from installations, immersive performances and videos. These works explore a variety of themes from the enduring struggles of female migrant labourers in Delhi to the dreams of people, the artists have experimented with forms and practices to create a series of thought-provoking works.
This year’s artists-in-residence are Richa Arya, Salman Bashir Baba, Dileep Chilanka, Sewali Deka, Surbhi Mittal aka pale blue dotter, and French artist Massandje Sanogo—with Shivani Kasumra as the curator. They were chosen by a jury comprising Vikram Iyengar, Sanchayan Ghosh, Sumangala Damodaran, Sandeep Sangaru, and Sahej Rahal.
