Art Heritage Gallery presents an online exhibition of works by mixed-media artist Kanchan Chander.
In She, Who Is Like a River, Chander draws on personal experiences and speaks of her vulnerabilities, aspirations, anxieties and desires. The female form dominates her work – her mother, sisters and herself, who later take on new avatars of iconic female artists and film stars to eventually arrive at the image of a woman as a deity or a goddess.
