Enter the world of the container in which the artist has arranged re-animated vignettes involving bodies, text, action and inter-action. The artist says she “…structures the self through states of strangeness, alienation, dereliction, displacement and embodiment, to make constant negotiations between body and language, the self and the world.” In a previous iteration, she placed a shipping container inside the incongruous setting of a leafy Lutyens bungalow in New Delhi to showcase a film on unsettled living. The form of the container aligns with her itinerant practice, and for imagining different notions of home. In this new iteration, visitors are invited to parse out meaning and sense out of familiar binaries: mind/body, interior/exterior, public/private.
