A moving image work by artist duo, Hylozoic/Desires (Himali Singh Soin & David Soin Tappeser), combining performance, archival records and music, this video tells the story of a forgotten border-the Inland Customs Line – a planted hedge grown by the empire across the subcontinent. The piece speculates between history, myth and resistance, exploring themes of colonialism, plant magic, and the power of indigenous knowledge.
