January 19-February 17, 2024

Triveni Kala Sangam 205 Tansen Marg, New Delhi, India

Art Pilgrim puts on view a collection of paintings and sculptures like no other, showcasing works from the oeuvre of icons of Indian modern art – F.N. Souza, G.R. Santosh, Ram Kumar, K.G. Subramanyan, Shanti Dave, Manjit Bawa, and more.

Each painting is emblematic of the distinct style, medium, and subject of its maker. It speaks in a unique vocabulary experienced and expressed by the artist at the time of its making. Alongside these paintings, are the sculptural masterpieces of Himmat Shah, Arzan Khambata, Biman B. Das, Sankho Chowdhury, Parmod Mann, and more. Poetry rendered in stone and metal, these sculptures are a celebration of the artistry and diversity that is the essence of Indian art. As you view these works, we hope that you will not only be moved by their beauty but also their symbolism as memories of the lives of these great artists, and moments in the art history of a nation.
