When and where is the next India Art Fair?

The 13th edition of India Art Fair will take place at NSIC Exhibition Grounds, New Delhi, from Thursday, 3 February to Sunday, 6 February 2022.

What makes India Art Fair truly unique?

India Art Fair is the leading platform to discover modern and contemporary art in South Asia. Spread across a 12,000 square meter venue, it is the biggest event in India’s cultural calendar with pioneering exhibitors from across India presenting some of the region’s most iconic artists, alongside select international participants who bring works that have never or rarely been shown in India. Always aiming to increase audiences for the arts, we also host an expansive programme of artist-led talks, performances, workshops and projects, making the fair an established destination for creativity.

Who visits India Art Fair?

India Art Fair is the perfect place for art lovers and collectors alike. Our visitors include everyone from artists and creatives to celebrities and CEOs. Along with working closely with art patrons and young, new collectors, we also engage directly with curators, museum groups, YPOs, EOs, alumni associations as well as exclusive private clubs and wealth management firms. Some visit to acquire artworks, while others view the fair more as an exhibition, enjoying the experience as a cultural day out.

Who can apply to exhibit?

The fair welcomes applications from galleries, institutions, collectives, foundations and museums. Applicants must have a strong history of exhibitions and run regular programmes. We recommend that you submit a simple yet comprehensive proposal indicative of your programme, artists and activities. 

Can independent artists apply?

The fair does not consider applications from independent artists.

How are exhibitors selected for the fair? 

All applications are reviewed by the Selection Committee consisting of the India Art Fair team and additional members broadly representing the local and international arts scene. 

 

What are the different sections of India Art Fair?

We accept applications under the following sections: GALLERIES consists of Indian and international participants presenting works by a range of artists; FOCUS features a curated body of work by a single artist represented by the gallery; PLATFORM showcases artist collectives and galleries supporting young, emerging artists and art practices from South Asia; and INSTITUTIONS has museums, foundations, and cultural centres present curated elements of their year-round programming.

Can exhibitors make multiple applications?

Yes, but each application has to be for a different section. In such cases, a separate online registration, application and payment must be submitted for each section. We strongly recommend that you tailor each application to the specific section you are applying for.

Can two exhibitors share a booth?

Yes. A separate application with a joint curatorial proposal and proposed works must be submitted in such cases. Both applicants will be individually assessed by the Selection Committee on their merit to be able to present a shared booth.

What is the application process?

Create your India Art Fair account by registering on our website’s exhibitor portal. Then log in to start the online application form and upload installation and artwork images as required. You can also save the form and return to it at a later date of your convenience. Finally, carefully read and accept the terms and conditions before making the payment.

What images should exhibitors submit?

Applicants are required to upload at least three exhibition installation images along with images of artworks that they propose to exhibit at India Art Fair 2022. In case the proposed artworks are not ready at the time the application is submitted, we encourage you to upload reference images or illustrations by the proposed artist.

What are the modes of payment?

Payment of the non-refundable application fee can only be made online via Razorpay using any international and domestic credit or debit cards.

How to submit an application?

Applications will only be considered if you fill all mandatory fields, agree to the stated terms and conditions and pay the non-refundable application fee.
