Jhaveri Contemporary presents Kolkata-born, London-based contemporary artist Sayan Chanda’s first solo exhibition A Smear and the Crown. The exhibition showcases woven textile pieces that are sourced from vintage fabrics and add to the woven tapestry on display. The pieces channel the artist’s past experiences and in referencing mythological traditions are imbued with a majestic aura.
The exhibition is part of Art Night Thursday which takes place in Mumbai on the 8th of September.
