Chemould CoLab presents Continuum (after by Jitish Kallat) featuring Jayeeta Chatterjee, Divya Cowasji, Gurjeet Singh, Shailee Mehta, Rithika Pandey, Pallavi Sen, Tarini Sethi, Anirudh Shaktawat, Kuldeep Singh and Vinita Mungi.
The artworks here encompass several types of media, ranging painting, ceramics, photography, textile, metal, and drawing. Each participating artist has carefully studied and engaged with the works of artists from Chemould Prescott Road. They responded to process, themes, material and discussion to expand their own practices today. Exploring topics such as dowry, queer identity, cosmology, pigments and fossils, the body, landscape, and utopia, this exhibition invites viewers to journey through time; they see the present through the lens of the past and look ahead to the future.
