Gallery Latitude 28 presents Ghare, Khet, Dera a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Shubham Kumar who brings out multiple readings of his home and extended family in native Gaya, Bihar. The artist has painted the history of transient civilisation in geography and painted the then-human lives with watercolours.
The exhibition showcases paintings from the rural grounds comprising lifestyle practices from family to farming. The exhibits don’t just settle there but pan across casteism, politics and calamities. The artist puts across the lives of individuals from the vulnerable grounds of the state holding realities of love, laughter and even pain, all in one place.
