Modern Art Gallery presents Lines, Stains and Words, an exhibition of artists that conflate the simple and seemingly impersonal formal and compositional vocabularies of minimal art with references to the physical and the bodily. This exhibition traces the ways in which remnants of the physical can be found in minimalist works on paper. Whilst all the artists are from different parts of India and diverse regions of the subcontinent, they are cohesive in their effort to bring together their ideologies, all of which are collectively a confessional memoir begetting introspection.
