The first of its kind in Ladakh, Sa Ladakh is a contemporary art exhibition that aims to promote local artists while fostering dialogue about sustainable practices and community involvement.
The exhibition features a selection of site-specific art installations using only discarded, renewable or reusable materials, artist film screenings, augmented reality artworks, cutting-edge video projections and sculptures.
These are made by local and international artists like Vibha Galhotra, Nikolaus Geyrhalter/Robert Schabus, Małgorzata Stankiewicz, Sharbendu De, Jigmet Angmo, Skarma Sonam Tashi, Tsering Gurmet Kungyam, Anurima Dazess Wangchuk, Birender Yadav, Anshu Singh, Anayat Ali, Tsering Motup, Stenzing Tankong, Tundup Churpon and Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam. Additionally, German artist Philipp Frank, internationally known for his projections in nature, will explore connections between spirituality and the natural world at the closing event of sã on August 23.
