Aicon Contemporary presents a solo show of works by Swagata Bhattacharyya, Scenes From A Despot’s Dream.
With a particular focus on urban design, the artist presents a series of works that portray a parallel world that is congruent with the changes India as a nation has been undergoing. Comprising both etchings made by the artist and digitally printed scenes of built spaces, there is a three-dimensional aspect to the works presented in the exhibition. Swagata Bhattacharyya paints a picture of a fictional realm and makes further explorations into world-building with this exhibition.
