Staging the 1990s (Delhi) : Alkazi Theatre Archives / Alkazi Collection of Photography

1st – 10th February 2025. Alkazi Theatre Archives and Alkazi Collection of Photography presents, Staging the 1990s (Delhi), a selection of interlinked materials staging the 1990s in Delhi as an architectural/theatrical model to investigate the relationship between theatre and the historical event articulating the dramaturgical logic of persona, gesture, image, action, scene and narration implicit in the conceptualisation and demonstration of their interrelation. If we consider the model to be a physical and conceptual instrument that makes a valid statement about past, present and future (and imaginary) worlds, can we understand our contemporary moment as never completed and subject to repetition, distortion and feedback loops.
