Studio Art presents Together & Apart, a group show exploring the tensions between individual and collective agency. At the heart of show are a set of uneasy contradictions— between our individual motives and collective responsibilities, our injured histories and living ecologies, the clutter of language and the contained mass of object, image, colour. In their responses, the twelve exhibited works ask the same question: How do we negotiate our place as both the subject and object of our historical and environmental legacy?
