079 Stories presents Weaving Worlds by Maneesha Doshi.

Doshi’s cut-out paintings urges its spectators to consider paintings as organic entities akin to sculptures or free-standing forms. It strikes a constant dialogue between what lies within and without, like composite images seen in the traditional Indian paintings. Doshi’s work also invokes a conversation between form and shadow.

Aside from challenging conventional notions pertaining to the form of paintings, Doshi’s colourful and abstract artwork toys with positive and negative spaces as dedicative of an inner and outer realm.
