Arpan Sadhukhan, Sweet Terrors

The Purushottam Public Trust presents the solo exhibition of Arpan Sadhukhan, recipient of the 2020 Merit Award, at India International Centre Annexe.
Drawing inspiration from his familial roots, the artist reflects on consumerism to expose ‘the inauthentic, candy-floss-like cold chrome surface of marketing and brand building that has invaded our daily lives’. The exibition explores dystopian realities of isolation and primitive human behavior of hatred and greed that morph all human emotions into transactional captial gains and consumer desire.
