‘Foreigners Everywhere / Stranieri Ovunque’ (2004–2024) comprises a series of neon sign sculptures spanning multiple languages, capturing the nuanced ambivalence embedded in its title. Exhibited across diverse contexts and public spaces, the work acknowledges that meanings can be altered or confused through the act of relocation. For India Art Fair 2025, Claire Fontaine presents a brand-new set of installations that are strongly grounded in South Asia, and draw from the languages, influences, and culture of India. Besides the work at the fair, the project will comprise multiple installations across New Delhi.
