Asia Art Archive in India and Inlaks Foundation are pleased to announce the open call for Inlaks–AAA Art Grant 2026, dedicated to supporting experimental approaches in art practice today.

Duration of Grant: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026

Grant Amount: Up to INR 2,00,000

Deadline for Application: Friday, 30 November 2025

Candidates are invited to propose projects that engage with any of the following:

• Archives pertaining to any field: such as art, music, cinema, theatre, law, science, medicine, etc.
• Artists’ personal archives: scrapbooks, letters, diaries, photo albums, etc.
• Public libraries, databases, inventories
• Anthologies, timelines, maps, and bibliographies

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Artists of Indian citizenship currently residing in India between the ages of 25 and 35 (i.e., those whose date of birth is between 1 January 1990 and 1 January 2000).
• Collectives are eligible to apply provided all members are also Indian citizens between the ages of 25 and 35 (i.e., those whose date of birth is between 1 January 1990 and 1 January 2000).
• Past Inlaks grantees (including recipients of other Inlaks grants, awards, or residencies) are not eligible to apply.

SELECTION PROCESS

Five candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Interviews will be conducted online during early December 2025. One grantee will be selected from among those interviewed by a panel consisting of one member from Inlaks, one member from AAA in India, and two external jury members. The selected grantee will be contacted by 15 December 2025.
