behind.art invites artists working across all disciplines and at all stages of their practice to apply for an online portfolio review session with Christine Serchia, Art Director, Curator, and Founder of SERCHIA Gallery.

This opportunity will offer one selected artist the chance to receive personalized feedback on their work, curatorial insight and guidance on professional development within the contemporary art field. The session will focus on the artist’s current practice, portfolio presentation, and strategies for growth.

Christine Serchia is an award-winning Art Director, Curator, Concept Strategist, and Creative Producer based in Bristol, UK. With a focus on personal themes of identity, connection, and the intersection of nature and technology, Christine has been recognized as one of the “Most Exciting Art Directors” and “Top Ten Best Art Directors” by Creativepool.

With an MFA in Digital Media and Educational Technology, and a Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography with a minor in History of Art, Christine’s work continues to explore the profound ways art offers connection through ways of seeing.

SELECTION PROCESS

Curator, in collaboration with behind.art Curatorial Board, will select one applicant based on their submitted materials and alignment with the curator’s focus. Priority is given to those whose practice shows strong potential and would truly benefit from this session.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

• All applicants will be notified of the results via email by the end of December.

• The selected applicant will be introduced to the curator via online chat to schedule a session at a mutually convenient date and time.
