FUSION is a highly immersive, cross-cultural, and multidisciplinary artist residency based in Japan. Now in its sixth edition, we’re reshaping how artists live, work, and grow in today’s creative landscape.

Set in the historic heart of Nihonbashi, Tokyo—where centuries-old merchant culture meets cutting-edge innovation—Fusion artists will gather in a district that embodies Japan’s rich duality of heritage and modernity. Surrounded by artisanal legacy, architectural elegance, and the fast-paced rhythm of the capital, this residency becomes a living dialogue between global contemporary art and the cultural depth of urban Japan.

The BnA × Fusion program marks the launch of a bold, fast-paced artist residency model—designed to push boundaries, foster collaboration, and redefine artistic development in the modern age.

Selection Process

• Application Review:We carefully reviews each artist’s application to assess their work, vision, and fit for the residency.
• Email Outreach: Selected applicants are contacted via email to schedule an interview call.
• Interview Call: A member of our team conducts an interview with the artist to discuss their application and answer any questions.
• Final Decision: After the interview, we forward our final decision via email, notifying the artist of their acceptance and next steps.

Residency Timeline

• Projected Dates for the Residency: January 11 – 31, 2026
• Participation Fee: $5000 USD
• Payment: $1000 USD Due immediately to confirm participation. The remaining payment can be paid out in instalments by December 15, 2025
