OVERVIEW
The Spring 2026 Residency is hosted by the Giancarlo DiTrapano Foundation for Literature and the Arts, based in Eastern Canada.
The residency offers artists and writers fully funded, uninterrupted time to focus on creative work in a quiet, rural setting. The program supports a wide range of practices across literature and the arts, prioritising process, reflection, and production over public outcomes.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Open to applicants from around the world, including South Asian applicants
- Open to artists, writers, translators, musicians, performers, and interdisciplinary practitioners
- No nationality or regional restrictions
- Applicants should demonstrate a serious commitment to their creative practice and a desire for focused, independent work
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications are submitted via Submittable
Applicants are required to provide:
- Basic personal information
- A statement describing their creative practice and what they intend to work on during the residency
- Work samples relevant to their discipline
- A small application fee applies at the submission stage
