India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is inviting applications for an intern to assist the IFA Archive team in Bangalore from January 02 to March 31, 2026. This is a paid internship opportunity.

IFA is an independent, nationwide, not-for-profit organisation that makes grants and implements projects across practice, research and education in the arts and culture in India. Set up as a Public Charitable Trust in 1993, IFA has been making grants and implementing projects since 1995.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Archive team in organising and cataloguing physical archival materials.
• Aid the team in verifying and cross-checking archival materials using metadata.
• Prepare physical materials for long-term preservation and storage, whilst creating metadata.
  Collaborate with the team in conceptualising and organising archive-related events.

Stipend

Rs 9,000 per month (all inclusive)

Term

Three months, from January 02 to March 31, 2026

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences.
• Applicants must be proficient in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Interest in the arts and culture is desirable.
