Open Call
KOCHI MUZIRIS BIENNALE | Students' Biennale 2025-26
Deadline: 30/06/2025
The fifth edition of Kochi Muziris Biennale’s Students’ Biennale in 2025-26 invites proposals from students and student collectives currently in their third or final year of BFA or first/second year of MFA programmes. Running parallel to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, the Students’ Biennale works with state-funded art colleges across India, encouraging emerging artists to reflect on their practice and showcase their work on an international stage.
This edition will focus on “other ecosystems” and the “strategies for survival and nourishment” that exist outside of the gallery-museum-market framework. Curated by artist-collectives and movements, both long-term and fleeting, this edition will invoke ideas of informal exhibitions, process, knowledge production and friendship economies, and the ecosystem that includes grants, residencies and not-for-profits.
