OVERVIEW
The Serendipity Arts Residency 2026 is an immersive three-month residency programme hosted by Serendipity Arts Foundation in New Delhi, India. It supports emerging practitioners working across contemporary art forms, offering time, space, and mentorship to develop research and creative work while engaging with the vibrant arts ecosystem of the city.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Open to emerging artists across disciplines, including craft, visual arts, installation, sound, and interdisciplinary/experimental practices.
- Applicants must be Indian citizens residing in India for the past two years.
- Age limit: Applicants must be no more than 35 years old at the time of submission.
- Applicants must not have attended a residency in the past year.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Application Deadline: 3 March 2026 (11:59 PM IST)
- Open Call Launch: 3 February 2026
Applicants submit a completed application form with:
- Updated CV (max 2 pages)
- 250-word bio
- High-resolution individual picture and pronouns
- Social media handles (public accounts)
- Age proof document
- Emergency contact
- Project proposal (max 500 words)
- 500-word essay explaining intention, plans, and contribution to practice
- Portfolio (up to 5 works) with titles and descriptions
BENEFITS
Selected residents receive:
- Furnished accommodation in New Delhi.
- Access to studio space at Serendipity Arts Foundation.
- Monthly allowance to support living expenses (inclusive of meals).
- Production grant for materials, technical support, or collaborations.
- Mentorship, critique sessions, workshops, gallery/studio visits, artist talks, and peer exchange opportunities.
- Public presentations and Open Studio events showcasing process and work-in-progress.

- Residency Duration: May 11 – August 7, 2026
- Open Studio: Towards the end of residency, showcasing residents’ work and process.
SELECTION & STRUCTURE
Number of Residents: 6 Artists-in-Residence selected by an external jury.
The residency unfolds in phases from shared dialogue and research to mentorship and focused production, culminating in public presentations and exchanges.
