Talwar Gallery is hiring for its New Delhi gallery across multiple positions.
1) SENIOR GALLERY ASSOCIATE
An internationally established art gallery representing some of the major artists and artist estates from India, with locations in New York and New Delhi, is seeking a skilled Gallery Associate for their NEW DELHI location.
Role Requirements
The applicant must be self‐motivated, enthusiastic, highly organised, possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at once.
Role Responsibilities
- Generate visibility for the gallery, including expanding the gallery’s regular clientele
- Foster relationships with collectors, advisors, and other arts organizations
- Organize client requests for viewings
- Oversee sales procedures and documentation
- Respond to inquiries and visitors
- Outreach
- Contribute and assist in executing the gallery’s vision
Qualifications Required:
- BA in Art History, MA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe suite.
- Minimum 2 years of art gallery or related experience.

2) DESIGN/ MEDIA ASSOCIATE
The Design/Media Associate is responsible for the gallery’s media and visuals – tasks include creating and executing social media strategies and designing visuals for both online and offline platforms that showcase the gallery’s exhibitions and artworks. The position is dynamic and requires excellent visual, communication, and organisation skills, as well as good time management skills and the ability to work against and meet multiple deadlines.
Role Requirements:
- Strong visual design skills: Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Experience: Previous experience in an art gallery, marketing/ design agency, or similar role
- Social media expertise: Knowledge of various social media platforms and best practices.
- Content creation skills: Ability to write compelling copy, create engaging visuals, and develop video content.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Knowledge of the art world: Familiarity with art history, current art trends, and the art market.
Qualifications Required:
This Position requires a BA in Graphic Design or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years in a comparable role.

3) GALLERY ASSISTANT
The applicant must be self‐motivated, enthusiastic, highly organized, possess strong written and verbal communications skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at once. This is a unique position offering exposure by assisting in various functions of the gallery, including Outreach, Exhibition and Gallery management, Press and Social Media.
Role Responsibilities:
- General gallery administration
- Outreach with press and clients
- Exhibition and gallery operations
Role Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) Required, MA preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office suite. Adobe preferred.
- Some experience in the art sector is preferred.
