The Wavelength Foundation and the Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation invite applications for the inaugural edition of The Lens Residency, a five-week residency programme in Chennai for artists working across photography, analogue processes, experimental image-making, moving image, and hybrid lens-based practices. Designed to support the development and expansion of lens-based artistic practices, the residency offers selected artists the opportunity to engage with the facilities, community, and creative ecosystem of the CPB Community Darkroom. Through sustained studio engagement and access to a collaborative environment, three selected artists will spend five weeks in Chennai advancing a body of work as part of the residency programme running from 01 October to 05 November 2026.
