This is your chance to immerse yourself in nature, engage with climate crisis themes, and create thought-provoking work that explores our relationship with the environment.
Theme for 2024: The increasing impact of climate change, particularly wildfires, on ecosystems and communities. Looking for projects that explore fire as both a destructive and regenerative force and its role in the cycle of life.

Residency Details:

Duration: 1-2 weeks (2 weeks encouraged)
Accommodation: Shared with private room options, with the possibility of a private residency Studio: 400 sq. ft. studio or yurt studio available Fees: Subsidised ($500-700/week CAD)
Artists: Multidisciplinary artists, especially those creating site-specific or experimental media, are encouraged to apply

The Narrows Artist Residency
The Residency Program at The Narrows is a special eco built space that is intended to give artists an opportunity to imagine and create, in an inspirational, contemplative and intimate setting.
