Threshold presents Abandoned, the last body of work Latika Katt completed before her passing last year. The exhibition comprises a group of sculptures, each beginning as a bronze cast from a wax modelled by the artist before being mounted within larger stones, much like a gem set in gold or silver, or a relic housed within its reliquary. Two distinct materials fuse into a new, sympathetic configuration, settling into an unexpected accord. What emerges resembles an archaeological find, a technological device, a surgical implant, or a fragment of forgotten architecture—something built, buried, and recovered.
