Anugoonj, meaning “resonance”, is a reflection of artist Dharita Deliwala’s deeply personal journey through art and life. Having painted for most of her life, Dharita found in watercolour a medium that mirrors life’s impermanence: transparent, fluid, expressive, and often unforgiving. Drawn to its spontaneity and vibrancy, she pursued a largely self-directed path of learning through observation, experimentation, and persistent practice.
Like many women, Dharita’s creative aspirations often shared space with the responsibilities of family, motherhood, and daily life. Yet painting remained a constant companion, a place of reflection, healing, contemplation, and quiet self-discovery. Through art she learned to embrace change, navigate uncertainty, and reconnect with herself with greater honesty and compassion.
The works in Anugoonj emerge from moments of joy, grief, wonder, hope, and acceptance. Together, they form a resonance of emotions, memories, lessons, and experiences that continue to linger long after the moment has passed. This exhibition is a meaningful milestone and the beginning of a new chapter in her artistic journey
