Excurators presents Chapter 2 of Baarish: Downpour Diaries – Magical Musicals & Coastal Cuisine. After a phenomenal debut, Baarish returns, richer in sound, spirit, and storytelling. The first edition saw an enthusiastic response, with seamless curation across music, food, and immersive experiences. Chapter 2 celebrates the peak of the rains, the time of the downpour, when the monsoon is in full bloom. The experience will honour it with a range of multifaceted offerings.

Rehmat-e-Nusrat x Eric Chopra – Rang: The Musical
Delhi of the 13th and 14th centuries comes to life through the intertwined stories of Amir
Khusrau Dehlavi and his beloved pir, Nizamuddin Auliya. As Eric Chopra of Itihãsology traces the histories that inspired Khusrau’s voice, Rehmat-e-Nusrat channels it in soaring renditions of his verses: multilingual, syncretic, and saturated with love for his spiritual guide and his city.

Chef Arun Kumar TR launched the first-ever food pop-up of Malayali food in Delhi and went on
to become a brand chef for the popular coastal cuisine restaurant, Zambar. At Baarish, in collaboration with Café Lota, he presents a deep dive into Kerala’s monsoon cuisine. Alongside a tasting experience, he
shares insights from his new book Feast on My Leaf, exploring pre-Onam flavours and harvest
rituals.

The Finale: Baarish Ensemble x Barmer Boys Reunion
This performance is a tribute to the late Mangey Khan, the legendary voice of Rajasthani folk
and lead vocalist of the Barmer Boys. A year after his passing, the Barmer Boys return, carrying
forward the Manganiyar legacy. Featuring Anirban Ghosh, Yusra Naqvi, Diyatom Deb, Nikhil Vasudevan, Pranay Verma, Subhankar Chatterjee, and Vaibhav Batra, the ensemble reimagines folk-rooted music with
emotional and spiritual depth.
