Latitude 28 presents Come With Your Own Light, a solo exhibition featuring works by Baroda based artist Komal Mistri.
In this exhibition, through photographic works, Mistri has documented unheard voices behind the closed doors of a labour room. Creating an archive of emotions, the artist takes on the role of a confidante and collates the pain, memories and psyche of the individuals. These close encounters with the women in maternity wards that also exposed the unpleasant conditions of healthcare systems are turned by the artist into an archive of personal yet collective experiences.
